My hiatus is over!
I guess it's been awhile since I've updated this blog. I'll be honest and say I really haven't felt like it. We have been through some rough times over the past month but I am positive that things will start looking up soon.
Jeff is looking for a job again. This is rough on him being the sole breadwinner and having a tough time finding something. Please keep him in your prayers.
I found a recording of a song on YouTube that has become my mantra. Our church choir did this song a couple weeks ago and I've been listening to the recording in the van anytime my spirits are down. Please note that the choir in the YouTube video is NOT our church choir. :) I hope this song means as much to you as it does to me.

Our house the infirmary

Please pray that Eli is spared from getting this. The fevers have just gone so high -- Noah was 104.5 in the middle of the night and Joey was 104.1 this morning -- and I don't want little Eli to have to go through that. Isn't it the worst thing to see your kids sick?
That's the update from our house for now. Hopefully I'll have fun pictures to show of some healthy kids soon!

How sweet it is!

Joey came home from preschool today with a Valentine's Day card for me. He didn't want to give it to me until we got home and his excitement was contagious...even though I had gotten a glimpse of it when he was taking it out of his basket. We only live a couple miles away from his preschool but he kept asking me to "go faster!" so we could just get home!! When we got home he presented me with his beautiful, 4 year old handmade card and said, "I love you, Mommy!" over and over again. That precious moment erased all the morning, afternoon, and evening difficulties we've had going through the "frightful fours" (as we seemed to have skipped the "terrible twos").
Thank you, Jesus, for giving me Joey. He IS Your precious gift and I love him so much!

Do you know these kids???

Saturday was our school carnival and we all had a blast! Abby and I waited in line for an HOUR to have face painting done. But it was well worth the wait. The woman doing the painting was amazing. Abby was so patient and never asked to go do something else. Joey joined us about halfway through and was a trooper also. Noah, Eli, & Jeff played lots of games while we waited. The kids are already looking forward to next year!

My first post!
I figured it was time to try out this "blogging" thing. :) Plus it will help me stay somewhat up-to-date on my pictures. This picture of Eli was taken this morning after a trip to Target. He loves his play hammers and used it this morning as a pacifier. A very funny sight to see.
