Please pray

I know I have asked in the past for prayer for little Stellan, almost 10 month old son of my blog friend, Jennifer. He needs our prayers again....more than ever! Amazing things have happened in the last 24 hours for this little boy so the prayers are working. Praise God!

Stellan has a heart condition called SVT which causes his heart to beat extremely fast (like 230+ beats per minute). The medications he's been on which have helped are no longer working as well as they used to. Over the night last night, he broke out of SVT for an hour and a half (after being IN SVT for 3 days) which is the break his little body needed.

He and his mom and dad are heading to Boston in the next day or so for the doctors there to perform another surgery (like the one they did in April). This surgery is very risky for Stellan and will most likely cause him to need a pacemaker for life. But as his mom, Jennifer, wrote on her blog --- at least he will HAVE a life!

My birthday fun

I had a pedicure.....and manicure the afternoon of my birthday. Yes, those are MY nails!!! I'm pretty proud of myself since a few months ago they were bitten down to nothing.

We went out with great friends to a free comedy inprov show at Lake Harriet and then walked around the rose garden. Very beautiful.

Happy 9th Birthday, Noah!!!!!

I can't believe you are 9 years old already, Noah. Time goes so quickly! 9 years ago your birth was the only gift I was praying for for MY birthday (7 days after yours) and God answered those prayers with a beautiful, healthy baby boy. My prayer for you this next year is that you will continue to enjoy school, make some GOOD friends, and continue to love Jesus with all of your heart. I love you!!!

Jonas Brothers concert

On July 8th, Abby and I went with our neighbors to see the Jonas Brothers at the Target Center. The girls were SO excited and we all had a great time! There was much screaming and we left almost deaf.....but it was still a really fun time....even for the moms!

Do we have any balloons???

This is the note Joey wrote this morning, picked 2 yellow flowers and taped it to the top. Then he asked me if we had any balloons. Very curious, I asked him why. He said that he wanted to send this note up to God in heaven and putting balloons on it would do that!

Sadly, we had no balloons.
